Join us for our Autumn Mix & Match Volunteer Job Fair on Saturday, 29 November 2025 from 11:00 to 15:30 at The Social Hub The Hague. Be ready for our supersized edition designed to bring together even more organizations, more inspiring speakers, and more opportunities than ever before. This time, we’re hosting on a weekend so everyone can join in!

Participating Organizations:

The registered NGOs and service organizations cover a wide variety of fields and interests, including human rights, social justice, refugee and migrant assistance, homelessness, animal causes, elderly care, child care, the environment, and so much more. There will be something for everyone, no matter your background or specialization!

10:30 - 11:00 Presentation by Sarah Feid, an account manager at The Hague International Centre "Volunteering as a Pathway to Employment in The Netherlands"

11:00 Doors open to start mixing and mingling with non-profits and NGOs

11:30 - 11:45 "Welcome Address to the International Community" by the director of PEP Den Haag, Gert-Jan Aleman, and welcome notes by the project lead of Volunteer The Hague, Tetyana Benzeroual

12:15 - 12:45 Presentation by Dawn Heuff, fundraising consultant at Aurore Fundraising Consultancy "The Inspired Fundraiser: Improve Your Confidence, Storytelling and Connection"

13:15 - 13.45 Presentation by Randy Heuschen, a civil servant at the Municipality of The Hague "Your Voice Matters: Be Heard, Be Active, Belong"

About the Presenters

Mariëlle Vavier is the Deputy Mayor for Poverty, Inclusion, Care, and International Affairs. Representing GroenLinks, she advocates for social and just policies, with a strong focus on tackling poverty, promoting inclusion, and improving care for vulnerable groups. She also works to strengthen international cooperation and solidarity within the city.

Gert-Jan Aleman is the current director of PEP Den Haag, having taken over earlier this year from former director Fenna Noordermeer. Previously, Gert-Jan was manager of the Arbo Center of the Municipality of The Hague, where in 2016 he won a national prize as Vitality Manager of The Year. Gert-Jan will offer some opening remarks at the event on behalf of PEP, Volunteer The Hague's parent organization.

Tetyana Benzeroual is an international who has been in The Hague with her family since 2015. She started her career path in The Netherlands as a volunteer and was later hired as a Project Manager for Volunteer The Hague, where she works with PEP Den Haag to fulfill our mission of connecting local internationals with meaningful volunteer opportunities at local non-profit organizations. Tetyana will MC the event while offering some opening remarks at the Volunteer Job Fair and discussing the importance of internationals making a difference in The Hague through volunteering.

Sarah Feid is an account manager at The Hague International Centre, where she helps to provide easy-to-navigate support for individuals seeking to make the Netherlands their new home. Sarah will give a presentation titled, "Volunteering as a Pathway to Employment in The Netherlands," where she will talk about her own experience of going from an international student to working for a Dutch employer and will offer practical info on how to integrate volunteering into job-hunting, as well as career opportunities for internationals.

Dawn Heuff is the founder and lead consultant at Aurore Fundraising Consultancy, based in the Netherlands, with experience working on US, UK, and EU-based projects. Focussing on individual giving and corporate strategic partnerships, Dawn coaches non-profit Executive Directors and Fundraising Teams to increase their income and love their roles as fundraisers. Dawn is also incredibly passionate about the impact that motivated volunteers can have on the success of non-profit organisations and enjoys working with new volunteers with simplicity and focus to "take the fear out of fundraising."

She will share her expertise in the presentation titled “The Inspired Fundraiser: Improve your confidence, story Telling and Connection“ at the event.

Randy Heuschen is a civil servant and a community connector with the Municipality of The Hague, where he serves as the go-to link between residents, local partners, and the city in Duindorp. With experience in neighborhoods across The Hague, from Laak to Leidschenveen-Ypenburg, he brings a deep understanding of how to turn ideas into action. Always approachable, you’ll often find him at community centres, sparking conversations and helping initiatives take shape. Randy believes in building stronger communities through visibility, collaboration, and shared ownership. His mission is simple: to make neighborhoods not only thrive, but also feel like home for everyone. At the event, he will present an engaging talk titled "Your Voice Matters: Be Heard, Be Active, Belong."

Vassia Sarantopoulou is the Founder, CEO, and Head Psychologist of AntiLoneliness, a company offering mental health services in The Netherlands. She is also a Trainer, a Perfectionism Expert, and a Mental Health Ambassador, promoting Inner Peace, Mental Strength, and Healthy Relationships. Her team at AntiLoneliness offers individual, couples, or group counseling sessions to those who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, loneliness, relationship issues, transition/change, and expat life. Vassia will give an insightful presentation titled, "Rethinking resolutions: Setting Intentions for a Meaningful New Year" at the event.

Aquarius - For nearly two decades, this non-profit organization has hosted the Internationale Jeugd Film Festival which has served as their platform to challenge discrimination and celebrate diversity. 

Arab Organization for Human Rights in North Europe - A regional non-governmental organization that promotes respect for and the protection of human rights in the countries of Northern Europe. 

Community Plus - A non-profit organization that strengthens community spirit in The Hague by initiating and supporting projects focused on social cohesion, livability, and sustainability. 

De Haven - A non-profit organization that provides social support to people in the sex industry in The Hague and Rotterdam, offering guidance on housing, finances, and mental well-being, alongside language lessons and empowerment programs to build confidence and independence, and when they want to, support to explore exit opportunities. 

Dessi Tuji - A non-profit organization that improves the standard of education of students in rural Ethiopia by providing educational materials, drinking water supply and better sanitation facilities specially for young girls. 

Dutch Cyclists’ Union (Fietsersbond) - As cycling advocates in The Hague region, they are committed to safe and comfortable cycling. They contribute to a livable, healthy and active community.  

Exodus Nederland - A non-profit organization that empowers ex-prisoners to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society through guidance, support, and second chances. 

Expatriate Archive Centre - A non-profit organization that collects and preserves the life stories of expatriates worldwide for future research. 

Female Ventures - A non-profit organization that empowers women in their careers through inspiration, education, fostering connections and mentoring.  

GREAT The Hague - A civil society organization that empowers diverse communities through grassroots innovation, inclusive urban development, and intercultural collaboration for systemic, sustainable change. 

KunstPost - A non-profit organization that connects people through art because art can touch you without words. 

Leger des Heils - The Salvation Army runs a cozy community living room (Buurthuiskamer De Bron) and a second-hand clothing store on the Pisuissestraat in Loosduinen, where you’ll find beautiful clothes for small prices, enjoy fun activities, sip coffee in a warm setting, and always feel welcome. 

Lydia Generation - A non-profit organization that equips migrant women to thrive in the Netherlands. 

Middin - A non-profit organization that believes that connecting people makes life better. 

Muzee Scheveningen - A museum that showcases the centuries-old fishing tradition, the associated professions, as well as the modern seaside and beach life that shape Scheveningen's image. Their collection offers an overview of fishing and daily life, both past and present. They host many cultural activities. 

Netherlands Yogasana Sports Association - A non-profit organization that focuses on mental, physical, and spiritual well-being through the ancient science of yoga, working to integrate it into everyday life. 

Present Den Haag - A non-profit organization that inspires volunteers to support vulnerable societal groups through meaningful initiatives. 

Schets - A community hub in Spoorwijk where connection, talent, and personal growth come together to build a stronger, more resilient neighborhood. 

Scouting Haagse Hout - A Dutch scout group with an international flavor that helps children and young people (7-18) learn by doing through teamwork. They offer varied activities, mostly outdoors, such as strategy games, camping, building with ropes and poles, campfire cooking, navigating, crafts etc. 

Soul Surfers - A non-profit organization that uses surf therapy, life coaching, and related programs to harness the healing power of the sea and surfing culture to enhance participants’ physical and mental well-being, resilience, and personal growth. 

StepUp Team - A non-profit organization that provides empowerment and career coaching for highly educated women with a migration background who live in The Hague region. 

Stichting 488 - A Christian-inspired community driven non-profit organization that provides shelter, support, and reintegration opportunities for vulnerable young women and homeless men, through community living, vocational training, and partnerships with several social organizations, local government and care providers. 

TERRA Foundation - A Netherlands-based non-profit organization that aims to mitigate climate change by supporting the development of locally led reforestation initiatives and social entrepreneurship in the Amazon. 

The Hague International Centre - A point of contact that supports internationals and international staff of organizations and companies in The Hague region. 

The Parliament of Pain the Hague Roller Derby - The first and only Roller Derby league in The Hague.

VV Wilhelmus - A local football club in The Hague with almost 1,500 members who play and enjoy themselves every week. 

Wool for Warmth - A foundation that helps the most vulnerable homeless people by knitting and crocheting with wool while raising awareness about homelessness.
